Communication between parents, students, and the teacher is integral to
the development of a positive learning environment. When all parties are
informed of rules, classroom expectations, and routines, a sense of trust
is developed. This handbook has been written to meet this important
goal. Click on the stack of books to view our Class Handbook! This handbook will
be provided to families in the children's S.T.A.R. Books.

To earn 15 extra minutes of playtime the children are directed to tell
their parents they have homework for the weekend! Since we read the
handbook as part of out classroom activities on the first 3 days of
school, the parents are asked to read it over the weekend. The children
are told that they are expected to answer any questions their parents
might have. If they bring the signed pledge back on Monday, they earn 15
extra minutes of playtime! Click on the pencil below to print the pledge

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Since
not everyone has Microsoft Publisher, I have created a template in
Microsoft Word that I use to make all of my booklets so that
they
can be easily printed. There's just one small catch... To get the booklet to print so that it folds and is in the correct order, you have to print page 1 on the back of page 2, then page 3 on the back of page 4, and page 5 on the back of page 6. When I print them I go to File--Print--then choose Odd pages. Then I put the pages back in the printer and choose Even pages. If you have a printer that prints both sides then you are golden! If this does not make sense please feel free to email me! |
