Merry Making and Holiday Fun!
Preparing
for the holidays is such fun! We took a $3 tree, put friendship, love, and
some creative hands into it, and made it into a thing of beauty! We also
spent time making special gifts for our parents, with the help of two
wonderful parent volunteers. They help to make everything special and
wonderful for the children.

It's a Sledding Party!!!
I confessed to the children that I told a
little white lie! They couldn't believe it! I had been asking the children
to come to school prepared to go outdoors with boots, hat, snowpants, and
scarf so that we could put our strung popcorn and cranberries on the big
pine tree outside our room for the birds to enjoy over the holiday break.
The day had arrived and when I picked the children up from lunch and got
them in the room I yelled, "SURPRISE!!!" They responded with a big surprise
back, with the most puzzled looks on their faces!!! I told them what I
really had planned and they were soooo excited. We donned our snow gear and
headed for the hill outside our classroom door. We had a terrific time! |
