An Amazing Journey to China

How fortunate and blessed I feel to be able to journey to China with my dear friends Miss Cloonan and Miss Harrison to bring Anna home to the Cloonan family.

This school year we will learn about a culture very different from our own, yet we will try to find ways that we are alike as well. We'll spend a lot of time comparing and contrasting our cultures. Cultural diversity is what makes the world go round.

Symbols

Chinese characters usually have one or more meanings and some of them are particularly loved by Chinese people. The background on this page consists of a Chinese character that is the symbol for Fu---- Blessing, Good Fortune, and Good Luck. It is one of the most popular Chinese characters used in the Chinese New Year.

Can you think of some symbols that we use in the United States of America that might represent these same thoughts?

May Miss Cloonan, Mary Kate, and Anna have a wealth of
blessings, good fortune, and good luck
in their life together.
