Ancient China

China is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. It dates back to the Stone Age! The first humans reached China in about 50,000 BC. These people lived in caves, cooked with fire, used stone and animal bones for a variety of things, and wore clothes made of animal hides and fur. They were considered hunters and gatherers.

  • Hunters were hunting for survival. They needed to hunt for food.

  • Gatherers looked for wild plants that they could gather for food.
