Red Creek Boys Bowling Team Wins
Wayne County League Title

The boys bowling team picked up the school’s first league title after finishing second place four out of the last nine years.  The team finished with a 35-13 record, two ahead of second place Sodus.  The Rams were tied with Sodus with only two matches left in the season.  They bowled Sodus at Cherry Lanes in a pivotal match, losing the first game by 140 pins.  The Rams battled back to take the next two games and picked up the third point for total by 14 pins, putting Red Creek up two points in the standings.

The team is made up of the five starters, Seniors Nick H., Nick S., Spencer B., Ben G. and Freshman Rob L..  Sophomore Kris K. and eighth grader Brandon K. complete the squad for the Rams.  Coach Pitts said,  “This has been one of my most rewarding seasons.  The four seniors have bowled on the team since seventh grade, and it’s nice to see them win the first league title for the school in their senior year.  The whole team put a lot of work into becoming better bowlers.  It really showed how much they have grown in the final match against Sodus, when they focused on making good shots and staying positive, instead of worrying about the score”.
