Dear Parent(s),
As I am sure you are well aware, energy prices are projected to
increase significantly this winter. In an effort to be proactive and save money,
the district is implementing many energy conservation measures. One of those
measures is to set room temperatures at 68°
during the heating season. In past years the set point was at 70°.
The 2° difference should not be very noticeable for your child and will save several thousand dollars for the district. We ask that during the winter you double check your child’s clothing they wear to school for appropriateness. Families that need appropriate winter clothing should contact the school’s main office.
Thank you for your understanding and if you have any questions, please contact me.
Very truly yours,
RED CREEK CENTRAL SCHOOL
