Many courses have a class limit. Examples are: DDP-12 students a semester, Drivers Ed.-20 students a semester. Every effort will be made to put you into requested courses, but if the course is overloaded there will be a waiting list.
Many courses are singles. When singles occur, often student must choose one over the other.
Any time you do not pass a course, you do not get credit for that course. You may have to sit out a semester before you can take the course over again.
Any time you drop a course other than during the first few days of the semester, a drop/add slip will be sent home. Each course that is dropped will have an effect of the credits and required courses a student must complete.
Each student must carry 3.25 academic credits a semester. The only exception is students who need resource room and can not fit it in during their PE block.
Resource room carries no academic credit.
Student may not switch courses because they do not want a particular teacher.
Students may not add a course after the 2^nd week of the semester without teacher permission.
Student may not drop a course unless they are carrying 3 academic credits or they are adding another course.
Any student failing a required 12^th grade course may only repeat that course in the 2^nd semester if the teacher has room in his/her class.
Schedules changes should be made during the summer, particularly during the last week before school begins and during Regents week in January. Schedules will not be changed on the first day of each semester, only if a student is missing a course, new students, or students without schedules will be allowed to make changes during these days.
