Monday September 14th, students in grades 6-12 will begin the school year with virtual
instruction. Students should make sure their chromebooks are charged and ready for that day.
Students will be following their individual schedules, which may be found both on Schooltool,
and in paper copy that you should have received in the mail.
Because all students will begin the week with virtual instruction, teachers will be using zoom
links for their classes. This week teachers have been linking their schooltool rosters with their
google classrooms and setting up the correct zoom links. Students should look for these zoom
links in their google classrooms for each course on their schedule. The zoom links contained
within each google classroom should be the most accurate links. Students will be responsible
for logging in to different zoom meetings for each course, except any study halls, AIS, or lunch
periods. Students will be expected to log in to to zoom for their advisory period. If students
encounter problems locating the zoom links, or with signing on to the zoom sessions, they are
asked to communicate directly with that specific teacher using email.
Teachers will be responsible for taking period by period attendance starting Monday September
14th, including all virtual students. However, the middle school and high school will not be
making morning absence phone calls until Monday September 28th.
We are excited to start the 2020-21 school year next week. We know that school will look very
different right now, but our teachers and staff have worked very hard in preparation for this
school year. We look forward to having students in our building once again very shortly.
