Health Insurance

NY State of Health is the official health plan marketplace of NYS where individuals and families can purchase health insurance.  Open Enrollment for 2019 Qualified Health Plans began on November 1, 2018 and ran through December 15, 2018.  If you didn't act by December 15, you can't get 2019 coverage unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. Plans sold during Open Enrollment started January 1,2019. In most cases, you would need to wait until the next Open Enrollment period starts on November 1, 2019 to change your health insurance plan or enroll in a new one. However, even after Open Enrollment has ended, there are some ways to still get health insurance coveragehttps://www.medmutual.com/For-Individuals-and-Families/Health-Insurance-Education/How-to-Get-Health-Insurance/Buying-a-Health-Plan-after-Open-Enrollment.aspx
