Brandon Curtis Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who plans to enter the field of Counseling or Psychology. The recipient will receive a $500 scholarship.
Student qualifications for this award are as follows:
- Must be a graduating senior with a final average of 85 or above
- Must be accepted at any two or four year accredited college to pursue a degree in the field of Psychology or Counseling
- Exhibits traits of being compassionate and caring toward others
- Is a positive role model
- Shows a keen interest in making a difference in the lives of others

Robert “Bob” Monroe Memorial Scholarship Application
Robert “Bob” Monroe was an active and contributing Member of the Red Creek and North Rose-Wolcott Communities. He was a teacher, coach, mentor, tutor, teammate, leader, and friend. Through his service to others, he made a lasting impression on countless individuals. Bob always loved to help people whether it was teaching or tutoring them in math, coaching them in wrestling or tennis, or helping to fix/remodel something at the church or in someone’s home. He knew that everyone was capable of learning no matter what their physical or mental limitations. He urged, encouraged, pushed and mentored all who came in contact with him to be the best they could be. However, most importantly he taught people how to “have fun” whether they were fixing something, learning something new, or competing at a sport. He wanted people to keep learning, growing, and understanding in body, mind, heart and soul, and to live life to its fullest.
The Robert “Bob” Monroe Memorial Scholarship will grant one $1,500 cash award to a graduating senior based on the following criteria and responses to the application questions::
- Plans to attend a two- or four-year post-secondary educational institution
- Passion for helping others which is demonstrated through significant involvement in community and school activities
- Determination for academic achievement
- Dedication to physical well-being by participation in a sport
- Demonstrates teamwork and sportsmanlike conduct
- Consistently displays a positive, can-do attitude
- Spirit of overall dedication, commitment, and integrity

Eddie Johnson Memorial Scholarship
Priority for the scholarship will go to a student(s) pursuing a career in forestry/timber management, environmental sciences, agriculture-related fields, or a “trades’ profession. i.e. mechanic, metal working, welding, any type of hands-on occupation. Scholarship is open to both boys and girls regardless of grade point average.

Richard O Stevens Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship will go to a student enrolled in a two or four year college pursuing a career in law enforcement, social work, agriculture or environmental studies. Scholarship is also open to a student enrolled in a trade school pursuing a career in the “trades” profession, i.e. metal working, welding, heavy equipment operator or any type of hands-on occupation. This scholarship is open to both boys & girls regardless of grade point average.
Additional qualifications are:
- Hard worker
- Makes a difference or wants to make a difference
- Accepts challenges willingly
- Leads by example
- Sense of humor

Jill Virts Memorial Scholarship
Jill Virts was more than a school psychologist to the people and students she encountered - she was a mentor, a safe place, a play therapist, a confidant, an innovator, a passionate advocate, and a true friend. The Jill Virts Scholarship will go to a student who embodies the qualities that made Jill Virts the inspiration that she was and continues to be.
The Jill Virts Scholarship will go to a student who demonstrated the following:
- Accepting of and kind to others
- A trustworthy and empathetic listener
- A creative, problem solver who is able to advocate for their beliefs
- Commitment or passion about helping people and the community

Rhoda Stevenson Memorial Scholarship
The Red Creek Rotary Club wished to award a scholarship in memory of Rhoda Stevenson, a Red Creek resident and active Rotarian who passes away. Particulars of the Scholarship are as follows:
- Amount: One scholarship of $1,000.00
- For: A graduating student who has demonstrated an interest through participation in music and theatre arts projects and the spirit of community service.
- Requirements: Applicants must write a short essay detailing his/her participation in music and theatre arts projects and community service.
The award may be announced during the graduation ceremony. However, the Rotary Club would like the recipient to visit one of their Rotary meetings.
Anne M. Treasure Memorial Scholarship
The Anne M. Treasure Memorial Scholarship will be a $500 cash award up to four (4) years for a graduate who goes to college or trade school (Total $2000). Student qualifications for the award are:
- Hard worker
- Compassionate/caring about others
- Exceeds goals/expectations
- Leads by example
- Sense of humor
- Makes a difference or wants to make a difference
- Accepts challenges willingly

2023 NYSSFA Mid-State Chapter Scholarship Application
The Mid-State Chapter Scholarship is awarded based upon both merit and need. Scholarships are valued at $2000.00 each. Scholarship applications are evaluated on achievements/accomplishments, involvement, letter of professional intent, recommendation letter, etc. Please review the entire application to make sure you understand all of the requirements.
Students have sole responsibility for ensuring accuracy and compliance. Any variance from requirements will be cause for disqualification. Decisions of the scholarship judges are final. No telephone calls please.
Eligibility requirements for all applicants:
- Must be a graduating senior intending to pursue a degree or vocational program in a field related to Facility Management. Building trade schools; most engineering and architecture disciplines do qualify. If unsure please contact us by email to clarify.
- No minimum GPA is required, but this metric is considered in our evaluation of candidates.

2023 EISENHOWER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Eisenhower College Alumni Association Scholarship, established in 1985, provides financial assistance to students who, in the judgment of alumni, best exemplify the goals of Eisenhower College, its World Studies program, and the ideals of Dwight D. Eisenhower.
To be considered for our scholarship, interested and eligible students should follow the process outlined below, and submit a 750-word essay along with the scholarship application.
The Eisenhower College Alumni Association Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors who plan to continue their studies in a liberal arts program at either a two- or four-year college. Relatives of Eisenhower alumni are encouraged to apply, but this is not a requirement.
A one-time award of up to $5,000 can be used toward tuition and related expenses at the recipient’s college of choice. The scholarship award committee may opt to award more than one scholarship, totaling up to $5,000, in a given year. The award committee also reserves the right not to award a scholarship based on the quality of submissions received. The decision of the scholarship award committee is final.

NYSSFA Wayne- Finger Lakes Chapter Scholarship
The Wayne Finger Lakes Chapter of the New York State School Facilities Association Chapter Scholarships were established to encourage students to pursue college-level/ trades careers in the fields of engineering, architecture, construction management and trades.
Each year two $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to qualified Wayne Finger Lakes Region college or trade school bound seniors who are pursuing majors in engineering studies, architecture, construction management or trades.
To be considered for the scholarship applicants must complete an essay detailing their dedication to a career field that will support the building maintenance field.
Each application will be reviewed by no less than three chapter members using the established criteria stated below. Recipients must complete all portions of the application and submit for review by the stated deadline.
Criteria:
- A senior in good standing
- Documentation of acceptance to a college/trade school
- At least 2 letters of reference

Section V Athletics Scholarship
Section V offers a $250 scholarship for each sport each season to be used toward future academic endeavors as part of its mission to promote excellence in interscholastic athletics while supporting an education based learning environment.
Winners are selected based on a letter of recommendation from their coach, their high school transcript and activities sheet, as well as their responses to application questions.

2023 SAGES Advancement in Agricultural Studies Scholarship
The Student Association of the Geneva Experiment Station (SAGES) is now accepting applications for the 2023 Advancement in Agricultural Studies Scholarship. Members of SAGES include graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and research technicians at Cornell Agritech (formerly NYS Agricultural Experiment Station). The Advancement in Agricultural Studies Scholarship was established as a way to give back to local communities, help support interest in agricultural studies, and nurture future professionals.
SAGES established this scholarship in 2009, and since then has awarded $14,750 to local high school seniors who have shown leadership in the classroom, in their communities, and who have expressed a desire to pursue higher education in agriculture-related fields of study. Eighteen exceptional students have been recipients of this scholarship, most recently Cheyenne Wheeler (Penn Yan Academy) and Mackenzie Cannon (Odessa-Montour Central School). SAGES hopes to build upon this legacy by offering a $500 scholarship for up to 2 deserving students from the Class of 2023.
The scholarship committee will accept applications from graduating seniors. Eligible applicants must be residents or attend high school in the following counties: Ontario, Yates, Seneca, Tompkins, Cayuga, Schuyler, and Wayne.
Successful applicants must be graduating high school seniors who intend to enroll in a 2 or 4-year degree program in the agricultural sciences or an agriculturally-related field (examples are listed on the application). Eligible students can obtain application materials by emailing the chair of the SAGES Scholarship Committee, Kathleen Kanaley (kk697@cornell.edu), or from their high school guidance counselor.
Applications are due by April 15, 2023 and winner(s) will be notified by the end of May.

Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship
Lockheed Martin’s Vocational Scholarship program is awarding $5,000 to up to 150 students!
We’re looking for students of all ages who are preparing for careers in technology, engineering, and advanced manufacturing at a U.S. accredited community or technical college.
Eligible students must be U.S. citizens pursuing an associate degree, credit-bearing certificate, or industry-recognized credential.

2023 Young Women of Distinction Scholarship Award
The Young Women of Distinction Award is presented to high school senior women who demonstrate leadership and a commitment to community service while letting their creativity shine through their individual submissions. The award embodies the Women’s Council’s belief that young women with promise today will become tomorrow’s leaders.
We are pleased to accept submissions from any young woman who is a high school senior. Successful applicants will have a strong academic record, involvement in extracurricular activities, and a strong desire to improve their community.

Jimmy Nikolevski Memorial Scholarship
The Jimmy Nikolevski Memorial Scholarship was established by the Wayne-Finger Lakes Chapter of the New York State School Facilities Association to honor the memory of Jimmy Nikolevski.
Jimmy was a long-standing employee in both the Williamson School District and Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES.
Each year a $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior in any Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES Career and Technical program, to assist with costs associated with attending the college or trade school of their choice or in purchasing needed tools or safety equipment for a post-graduate career.
To be considered for the Scholarship applicants must exemplify the characteristics that best described Jimmy and complete an essay detailing how they can and will create a positive impact on the world around them. Applicants must be dedicated to helping their family and community. They must exhibit a sense of curiosity and wonder. They must exhibit kindness and humor without disparaging others.
Each application will be reviewed by no less than three chapter members using the established criteria stated below. Recipients must complete all portions of the application and submit for review by the stated deadline.
