Services and Supports: Substance Use and Mental Health
Where to Find Help for Students with Disabilities
There has been a steady rise in mental health needs and substance use disorders since the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown began in March 2020, especially in students. Students with developmental disabilities have also been adversely affected during this time. The need for supports continue to grow, and there’s always more students looking to access help. This workshop will present information for families, school personnel and administrators, and advocates on what kind of help is out there, where to find support, and how to access support services for the students with substance use, mental health, and developmental needs.
