Author Eric Litwin Visits Cuyler Elementary

On Thursday, students at Cuyler Elementary School got the chance to meet best-selling author Eric Litwin. He is a guitar strumming, book writing, harmonica blowing, song singing, folksy, fun type of guy. Litwin is best known for his Pete the Cat picture books. Litwin performed for Cuyler students UPK-5 during an assembly.

Students sang and danced along to the captivating musical stories.  Eric also shared how Pete the Cat, and his other characters stay positive, loving, and resilient even as things get tough. The program is designed to help our early childhood students stay positive as well as love books, enjoy reading, and see themselves as readers.  

“It was awesome,” said Cuyler Elementary Principal Dennis Taylor. “Eric really connected with the students as well as our teachers and staff. The performance was truly great for all ages. We look forward to having more fun and engaging events like this as the school year goes on”

The event was sponsored through the Arts and Education Grant.
