Middle School Students Submit Artwork to RIPPLES Magazine
May 6, 2022 - Students at Red Creek Middle School have entered their artwork to be published in the 2022 edition of RIPPLES Magazine. RIPPLES is a regional literary and visual art magazine that provides a voice for the thoughts and ideas of our youth. RIPPLES hosts an art contest every year. The winners are published in the magazine.
Every sixth grader who has taken art had at least one piece submitted. Nearly every eighth grader also entered artwork. In total, 127 pieces of art were submitted.
Shannon Brett, who is the Red Creek Middle School art teacher said, “we are so proud of the students and the work they submitted.”
RIPPLES is a unique way to highlight exemplary pieces of writing or Visual Art while also giving students an opportunity to see their work published. RIPPLES is a great way to motivate creative writing and artistic expression.
Students whose artwork is selected to be in the magazine, will be notified. RIPPLES Magazine is set to be published in June and a shipment is expected to be sent to the school.
