Red Creek Middle School Students Raise Over $4,000 in Math-a-Thon for St. Jude
Red Creek Middle School students put their math skills to the test for a great cause, raising $4,246 in their annual Math-a-Thon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Twenty-seven students from grades 6-8 participated in the event, solving challenging math problems while collecting donations.
Seventh-grader Gloria A. is this year’s top fundraiser, contributing $670 to the total amount raised. Her efforts, along with those of her classmates, will help provide vital, customized care for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, regardless of their families' financial situations.
Students who joined the Math-a-Thon received a grade-level workbook filled with eight pages of math problems to complete. The event not only tested their problem-solving skills but also reinforced the importance of using education to make a positive impact on the world.
