Spreading Holiday Cheer: Every RCCSD Students Sent Home with Gift for the Holidays

December 27th, 2022- On Thursday, December 22nd, every student from UPK to 12th grade walked into their classroom with a wrapped gift on their desk. Red Creek CSD faculty, staff and board members along with community agencies and vendors, all chipped in to purchase board games for every student in the district.

Over the past month, more than 800 board games were donated and wrapped to be distributed to students. The board games were also carefully labeled so children who are in the same family wouldn’t receive the same game.

“What a great way to celebrate the spirit of the holidays with our students and their families,” said Kristen Waterman, a teacher at Red Creek High School. “The students enjoyed unwrapping their games and I have seen many of them continue to carry them around throughout the day.”

This would not have been possible without the support of our community and the countless hours donated by staff members to help pull this off.
